When it comes to mechanically injected diesels i don’t like to promise anything as i really need a baseline first, it’s rare to see a completely stock one where no one has tried to wind up the fuel screw

Setting the fuel screw I noticed the car was setup to start off at 16:1 AFR. Definitely the major cause of smoke. With that dialed back to around 19:1 AFR i could continue w/ the compensator

Generally speaking winding the fuel screw back does cause the turbo to take longer to spool, it’s unfortunate but it does reduce smoke heavily and if you’re cruising in that region, lower EGTs are also expected

With the compensator boost reference line attached and the pump adjusted we’ve almost doubled the power output of this TD. With a smaller turbo in the future we can expect faster spooling times

ZD30CRD on the rollers today

This Patrol wasn’t making the power with the factory tune i’d expect

After checking over the engine the Injector codes programmed were not matching with their corresponding cylinder

With the injector codes reprogrammed and the ECU tuned, this Patrol is making exactly what I'd expect with it’s modifications

Mods:
✅ HPD Series 1 Intercooler
✅ 3” Exhaust
✅ Dawes valve
✅ EGR Blocked off

Instead of jumping the gun and blaming the previous tuner we swapped out the boost control solenoid with one we keep for testing purposes

Here’s another fun little TD

This customer recently installed a UFI turbo, 12mm pump and it was smoking heaps and gutless

The owner initially came in with the expectations of a 20ish kW improvement

When it comes to mechanically injected diesels i don’t like to promise anything as i really need a baseline first, it’s rare to see a completely stock one where no one has tried to wind up the fuel screw

This one made it easy though haha. The boost compensator did not have a reference line attached to it. When in boost, the TD was lean enough to max out our o2 sensor

With a barb fitting installed into his boost t fitting and a line attached we could continue tuning

Here’s a little fun one

This Patrol came in overboosting after the owner fitted a Tillix kit after it had been tuned

Can you see the problem?
Wrong type of controller for that actuator!

While I don't generally like positive pressure actuators and prefer to stick with the OEM actuator + a dawes valve. This one seemed to spool nicely, to avoid spending too much $$ the actuator was plumbed correctly again and adjusted

This Patrol had been tuned elsewhere and was sitting at 16:1 AFR and 18psi boost, putting down 88kW on our dyno. Due to how smoky it was, the customer gave us the go ahead to retune it. At 20psi and a much leaner AFR, we’re seeing virtually no smoke & another bump in power! A win win, the Patrol is now putting down our expected near 100kW at the rear wheels

Here’s a little fun one

This Patrol came in overboosting after the owner fitted a Tillix kit after it had been tuned

Can you see the problem?
Wrong type of controller for that actuator!

Friendly staff and great service, my 4jj3 feels like a completely different car and fuel economy has dropped drastically. Highly recommend
The team at Komplete tuning always go above and beyond, very affordable considering the day and age we live in, fitted a unichip, made 115kw on the final run of my 1kz, more than impressed with their workmanship and customer service.

I brought my Hyundai I30N in for a tune & had great results! It now drives like a completely different car. I have a lot more power, through each gear… no more power drop off towards the end of the gear. Its mazing how much power they can get out of a tune! I ended up with around 20% more power (23kw & 62nm).They were very honest too. They could have easily got a lot more money out of me, on other stuff for the engine, though after some honest advice, I decided to go with just a tune. There’s a reason there guys have such a good name!!! I couldn’t be happier!!!
Awesome guys to deal with. I'm really happy with my tune and I'll highly recommend them 👍👍

Took my Jeep Grand Cherokee diesel to these guys. Seriously happy with the tune they gave her. Much more power, no turbo lag now, and as a bonus, far better fuel consumption when towing. Highly recommended!

Can't highly recommend the guys here. Had my 2011 hilux tuned recently. The power output gained was significant yet still at the safe level the motor can handle. The range I also gained was impressive considering the mods. I asked for more power and better fuel economy and that's what I got.The boys know their stuff. 👍
